Accessibility Statement

At Puffin Padel, we want everyone to enjoy padel — online and on court. That’s why we’re working hard to make our website easy to use for everyone, including people with disabilities. If you have any problems using puffinpadel.com, we want to know so we can help and improve.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Puffin Padel is committed to making our website accessible to all users, regardless of ability, technology, or location. We believe everyone should be able to explore, book, and connect with padel without barriers.

We are a UK-based company, but we serve customers across Europe. We aim to meet or exceed the standards set by:

  • UK Equality Act 2010.

  • The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

How We Ensure Accessibility

We take a proactive approach to accessibility by:

  • Designing pages with semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks.

  • Supporting keyboard-only navigation.

  • Ensuring sufficient colour contrast and text scaling.

  • Using alt text for images and clear labels for forms.

  • Capturing focus indicators on interactive elements.

  • Testing with assistive technologies, including:

    • NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS, TalkBack.

    • Browsers like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

  • Using tools such as Axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse.

  • Training our developers and content editors in inclusive design.

Conformance Status

We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means most areas meet the standard, but we are still improving some parts.

Known Accessibility Issues

  • Booking widget: The third-party calendar we use for booking may not work fully with screen readers or keyboard navigation.

  • Older blog posts (pre-2022): Some may be missing image descriptions or proper heading structure.

  • Popup modals and overlays: A few may not trap focus correctly on all browsers.

We are actively working to address these issues and are in contact with third-party providers to improve their accessibility.

Temporary Workarounds

If you are unable to book a session or access specific content due to an accessibility issue, please contact us directly. We’re happy to assist you:

  • By email: hello@puffinpadel.com.

  • By letter: Puffin Padel Limited - Accessibility, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

How You Can Help Us Improve

We welcome feedback. If you find any issues or need content in a different format (like large print, plain text, or audio), please let us know.

We aim to:

  • Acknowledge all accessibility enquiries within 1 working day.

  • Provide a meaningful response or alternative within 10 working days.

Preparation of This Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 13 June 2025 and is reviewed every 6 months or when we make major updates to the site.

  • Last accessibility audit: 5 June 2025.

  • Testing methods used: Manual testing, automated tools, and real-world assistive tech use by testers.

Looking Ahead

Accessibility is not a one-time task — it's part of how we grow. We're embedding accessibility into our design and development workflows and consulting with real users with disabilities to ensure Puffin Padel is truly for everyone.

Thank you for helping us create a more inclusive padel community.
